Beauty Sleep: Overnight Hair & Face Serums
When I think of night-time, I think of rest and relaxation, a safe haven to unwind. Part of my night-time ritual is my skin and hair routine. I love that I have time more time to spend in the evening than in the morning so I actually get to enjoy my routine, it’s become more self care than a chore. A night time mask for your hair is effective and not at all time consuming, sleeping and repairing your hair simultaneously sounds like a win-win to me! I love layering on my serums and moisturizers in the evening so when I wake up I have a radiant glow! Listed below are my favourite night time products!

Bumble and Bumble While you Sleep
This is simply magic! An overnight restorative and luxurious mask that reverses the appearance of damaged hair. You’ll wake up with silky, de-stressed hair by morning. It contains antioxidant-packed camellia oil and nourishing evening primrose that is responsible for intense hair repair. It mainly targets past stresses of the hair and helps prevent further damage and repairs split ends in the process. This is best used on dry hair once or twice a week. For the best results, leave on overnight and wash out in the morning or if you’re in a time crunch leave on for 20 minutes and shampoo out after.
Kerastase Nutritive 8H Magic Night Serum
This serum is meant to give a boost to all hair types. It has a lightweight creamy texture that helps detangle fine hair and provides better manageability on normal to coarse hair. It was found that during the night, hair is prone to reverse the daytime loss by absorbing all of the nutrients in your hair care. It contains Iris Root Extract and a blend of 5 vitamins including Vitamin E that penetrates the hair fiber and restores balances nutrition levels within the hair. Apply at night and the next morning your hair will be visibly softer and easier to style with a satin finish. The holy grail of night time products. Despite what the line is called and being ideal for bleached hair it’s not just for blondes! This serum is applied before bed and stays on overnight for the deepest penetration and long lasting intensive repair. The fragrance is one of blooming flowers and citrus notes; spring in a bottle! It contains hyaluronic acid which has a plumping effect and revitalizes the appearance of the hair. It also contains Edelweiss flower which is amazing for providing protection and anti-oxidative powers. This product can even be used in the morning on your mids and ends to reduce frizz and leave your hair with endless shine.

Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon
This gel-cream moisturizer is my favourite overnight product! It optimizes skin recovery overnight and leaves your skin feeling soft, hydrated and healthy. Tamarind Seed Extract is the main ingredient that promotes this. The best part is that it contains encapsulated, motion activated French Lavender Essential Oil. In turn, you will receive the deepest most restful sleep possible. A couple other key ingredients are Persian Silk Tree Extract and Wu-Zhu-Yu, these reduce signs of aging and fatigue while restoring vitality.
Dermalogica PowerBright Pure Night Treatment
This product targets restoring the skins luminosity with the help of White Bird of Paradise Seed Extract! It contains several skin brightening agents and is a rich night time moisturizer that helps reduce the appearance of uneven skin tone and brown spots. The main ingredients are Oligopeptide, Vitamin C, Niacinamide and Zinc Glycinate, these all help control melanin formation and hyperpigmentation.
